Biennial 2024 — Call for Proposals
Bev Goldie and Darlene Yeager-Torre, 2024 Biennial Committee Co-Chairs
“To Create … Takes Courage” (paraphrased by Georgia O’Keefe, former NLAPW member) is the theme for the 2024 Biennial to be held in Columbus, Ohio. The dates for the 51st event are Friday, April 26 – Sunday, April 28, with optional opportunities before and after the conference. Mark your calendars and consider joining us!
The Central Ohio Branch looks forward to welcoming you to Columbus in the heart of Ohio. You’ll feel right at home in this city, which is supportive of all the arts. There are notable galleries, gardens, theaters, museums, and historical and architectural sites to visit.
The special music recital and art exhibition will be hosted at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center, a historic building where you will meet two special guests. Watch for more information in the months ahead.
Call for Proposals
Proposals are being accepted until Oct. 20 for seminars to be offered at the conference. Attendees will choose from 14 presentations in all classifications — but only if we have proposals from members in each. You can be part of this exciting event by giving a talk, demonstration, PowerPoint presentation, etc. Each session will last up to an hour. Consider sharing something unique to your discipline.
Proposals should include:
- Your name, address, email address, and phone number.
- Title of the seminar.
- Proposed audience: letters, art, music, or all three combined.
- Description of the presentation.
- Length of time.
- AV equipment needed.
E-mail to Biennial co-chairs: Bev Goldie, bevgoldieart@gmail.com and Darlene Yeager-Torre, central.ohio.nlapw@aol.com.
All proposals will be reviewed and voted on by the National Board.
Note: Stipends are not offered to member presenters. We look forward to hearing from you. Help us make this one of the best Biennials ever!
