Artist’s Statement
The planet in this poured acrylic painting resembles the gas giant, Jupiter. It is the second piece in my Planetary Series. The planet, stars, and other space objects were all painted in one sitting while the background was freshly poured and wet. There is no brushwork, although a palette knife and chopstick were used to create some of the effects.
