A blank canvas
Waiting for inspiration:
“Paint me,
Paint me.”
She dips her brush in indigo paint
And a brilliant sky appears
with wispy clouds of white,
Emerald grasses are covered
With beautiful wildflowers,
Trees are filled with verdant leaves;
A cardinal dressed in a scarlet
suit sits on a sturdy branch.
A true artist hears his mating call
And can visualize love in the air.
I truly enjoyed this very visual poem.
I can picture all of it in my mind.
thanks for painting it!
With your pen you painted a beautiful vision of an artist at work. Thank you!
I enjoyed the twist of the last 2 lines!
We see this vibrant “word painting” through the poet’s lens.
Lovely
The NLAPW poet and writer uses very colorful words in her writings. Enjoyed reading her poem. BRAVO!
