“Alviso, Green” by Bonnie Smith, Santa Clara County Branch
34×40 fabric art
From the Artist:
The focus of this textile is the Alviso Salt Marshes. The Alviso slough runs adjacent to the Alviso salt ponds, which is also the gateway to the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. I have spent countless hours walking, dreaming, sketching, and photographing nature there. Inspiration for this textile came about from one of those walks.
Very nice.
Intriguing! I like the colors and texture.
Very interesting technique. Love the ideas from nature to make your textile piece. Keep on keeping on. E. Marie Francis
