A paperclip is simple:
two loops of wire,
one inside the other.
Wires need to slightly separate
in order to hold tightly.
It’s a lesson for parents,
for lovers, for friends.
A small space between creates a bond.
Too big a space leads to loss.
Calibrating the space is a lifelong quest.
Right on!
Such big truths expressed so eloquently in such a compact space!
Patricia, I love this. Profound philosophy from seeing a paperclip! I’ll “ever afterward” look at paper clips in a new light. Thank you for sharing your insight.

So simple, so deep. A poignant way to see a paper clip.
Your thoughts are deep and the poem is an intriguing observation!
